Most people who know me can describe me with one word: doer. I've never been the type to sit still.
I sort of stumbled into a passion for teaching while studying Arabic at Indiana University. I worked with an on-campus program called Bridges: Children, Languages, World, where I taught Arabic and Persian language classes to children in the area.
After working for nonprofits in Washington, DC, I decided that I wasn't doing enough--for the world and for myself. I then made the best decision of my life: applying for the Peace Corps. Now, instead of reading about education, development, and travel, I'm actually living it.
I've traveled the world, and have seen its most beautiful sights--from Iskander Kul in Tajikistan to Petra in Jordan; I've snorkeled in the Red Sea and walked the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul; I've celebrated with the Germans, and drank tea with the Bedouin. I'm ready for my next adventure, and to make a difference in the world. I hope you'll join me!
